Description from Goodreads:

Avery Hood is reeling from the loss of her parents--and the fact that she can't remember what happened to them even though she was there.

She's struggling to adjust to life without them, and to living with her grandmother, when she meets Ben, who isn't like any guy she's ever met before.

It turns out there's a reason why, and Ben's secret may hold the key to Avery finding out what happened to her parents...

But what if that secret changes everything she knows about--and feels for--Ben.

My thoughts:

Avery’s parents are murdered, and she is found covered in blood at the scene of the crime. Sent to live with her estranged Grandmother, Avery struggles to try to regain her memories from that tragic night. She meets the mysterious Ben with his silver eyes. With this comes the knowledge something silver was there the night of her parent’s death. Now she is worried that the boy she is falling in love with may have had a hand in the murder of her parents.

I really wanted to love this one, but it didn’t happen. I don’t feel I ever really connected with any of the characters, and the writing did nothing to draw me in. While the relationship between Ben and Avery felt rushed the plot itself lagged. The ending did make up a bit for my disappointment because it was not what I was expecting. I love endings that I don’t see coming. I’m going to assume by how the novel ends this is the first in a series. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. With my lack of interest in the characters I don’t think I’ll continue if it is.

Other bloggers are loving Low Red Moon so I might just be the odd blogger out.
