Tanner Harding can tame a monster bull with ease, but he never expected to be floored by someone like Evie. Sparks fly between them until injury threatens to end Tanner’s career –and suddenly he’s the one in need of a rescue.
Evie can’t turn her back on her wounded hero and, as Tanner struggles with his recovery, she’s not sure she can guard her heart against him either. Tanner knows Evie has slipped under his skin, but she lives in Australia and his future is under a cloud. Can two people with too many reasons to walk away make the bold decision to stay?
My Two Cents
I really enjoyed reading the American Extreme Bull Riders series debut. I'm intrigued by the concept of each book being authored by someone different. I think it is going to be so much fun to read about all the different bull riders and it will guarantee they each have a unique voice.
The debut is a strong one. Tanner is an all around good guy who seems to almost always do the right thing. If you love the good guy you will want to pick this up. If you like a bad boy then Tanner might be a little boring for you, but I still think you should give him a try :) He is just so genuine and easily won my heart.
Evie is a great female lead who seems levelheaded and kind, even after the discovery she made at the start of the book. She traveled across the world for what she thought was true love to only end up devastated. She could have been bitter. Yes, she was guarded, but she kept such a great outlook even with the turmoil she was experiencing. Tanner steps in to help, because that just seems to be his way, and finds he needs Evie in his corner just as much as she needs him.
I adored watching the romance develop between Tanner and Evie. It was slow and sweet and when they finally come together you can't help but say "Awe". This was a great series start and a quick read. I'll definitely read the rest of the books in this series.

Synopsis via Goodreads
When out of work graphic designer Verity Long accidentally traps a ghost on her property, she’s saddled with more than a supernatural sidekick—she gains the ability to see spirits. It leads to an offer she can’t refuse from the town’s bad boy, the brother of her ex and the last man she should ever partner with.
Ellis Wydell is in possession of a stunning historic property haunted by some of Sugarland Tennessee’s finest former citizens. Only some of them are growing restless—and destructive. He hires Verity put an end to the disturbances. But soon Verity learns there’s more to the mysterious estate than floating specters, secret passageways, and hidden rooms.
There’s a modern day mystery afoot, one that hinges on a decades-old murder. Verity isn't above questioning the living, or the dead. But can she discover the truth before the killer finds her?
My two cents
"Less than a year ago, my life had been so simple. I had a nice little freelance design business going. I was marrying a man I thought I loved. And then --poof. Ghosts in my kitchen and ramen for breakfast."
It took me a few chapters to really get into this, but once I was I couldn't put this down. It featured an easy to relate to main character, a snarky gangster ghost, kind of broody hot guy, and a pet skunk. What else can you ask for in a book!? I was left wearing a pouty face when the hijinks finally came to a close on the final page. This was fun and spooky and I'm seriously considering binge reading the rest of this series over the weekend. It has been a while since a series made me want to do that. I loved it!
FYI: The Kindle version is free at this very moment and the audiobook is only $1.99! Grab it :) The narrator is fantastic so you can't go wrong with any version of this book.
