Mini-Challenges Day 3:

Let’s Play Matchmaker hosted by Wicked Awesome Books

If I had the chance to “play matchmaker” with two character from any books I want, who would I pick?

I had to think long and hard about this one. I decided that I would pair Pam from the Sookie Stackhouse series with Ian from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series. They are both extremely outspoken and sarcastic. I’m usually a fan of opposites attracting, but in this case I think their snarky ways would balance each other perfectly.

The second mini-challenge for today is hosted by Books from Bleh to Basically Amazing

Part 1 of this challenge involves sharing with all of you about a book I am in love with. If I had to pick one of my most favorite books ever, it would be Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken. This pretty little thing right here in case you didn’t know:

 Brightly Woven

I was so taken with the setting, characters, and basically everything this book had to offer. I adored the main character, Sydelle, and fell in love with the uber cranky (but for a very good reason) North. I credit this book for helping me discover my love of the fantasy genre. I still hope we’ll see a sequel to this wonderful book in the future.

Part 2 of this challenge is to share my favorite read-a-thon book. This is hard because I enjoyed all the books I read, and felt both Succubus Revealed and As I Wake deserved a whopping 5 star rating. Succubus Revealed wraps up a 6 book series amazingly! If you’ve read the first 5 and loved them, Succubus Revealed is going to make you cry, cheer, and cry some more. If you haven’t read these (and enjoy Urban Fantasy) I suggest reading them as soon as you can!

Now moving onto As I Wake. I started reading with certain expectations. I thought I knew what I was getting into, but I actually had no clue. The synopsis gives you a good sense of what the book entails, but leaves out a few key plot elements. The surprise was one I greatly appreciated and helped to make As I Wake an amazing read!

  5. Ooh, you've read As I Wake. Jealous!

Thanks for participating in the Matchmaker mini challenge! I love Pam on the True Blood show, but not sure how different she is in the books. Her snarkiness seems to be the same though and I love snarky characters paired together, so this Ian sounds like a good match.
