Waiting on Wednesday (23)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we can’t wait for. This week I’m waiting on,

Invisible Things by Jenny Davidson
Releases: November 2010
Synopsis via Goodreads

In an alternate 1930s Europe, sixteen-year-old Sophie and Mikael, now more than a friend, investigate her parents' death, setting off a chain of events that unravels everything she thought she knew about her family, and involving them in international intrigue and the development of the atomic bomb.

Why I chose this as my WoW pick:

The cover is stunning, and the reason I initially noticed this book. I love historical settings, and the idea of “an alternate 1930s Europe” has me intrigued.

What book are you “waiting on”?

  11. Sounds exciting! I really love novels set in that between-the-wars period, although I'm not sure about the "alternate Europe" idea. But this one is going on my list of interesting new finds (thanks!).
