The Character Connection (2)

I had so much fun with this meme last week I had to try it again.
The Character Connection is hosted by Jennifer from The Introverted Reader.
Here is what she had to say about her meme,

"We all have characters we love.
Let's spotlight these fantastic creations!
Whether you want to be friends with them
or you have a full-blown crush on them,
you know you love them and
want everyone else to love them too!”

My choice this week is Samuel Cornick
from the Mercy Thompson series.

With Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs having just released to say I have Samuel Cornick on the brain would be an understatement. Samuel is a very old and very dominant werewolf in the Mercy Thompson series. He is a good guy with a great sense of humor who is having trouble coping after living for so long and seeing so much loss. He isn’t my typical book crush. I usually fall for the bad boy but something about Samuel has left me infatuated. He works as a doctor which is pretty unique for a werwolf. The scent of blood and close contact with humans is something most of the werewolf population avoids. He also adores children and babies which I think is super sweet. His struggles really tug on my heartstrings. I’m hoping Samuel will eventually get his HEA.

I have not read Silver Borne yet but I plan to very soon. I heard it features quite a bit of Samuel which makes me a very happy girl :)

  2. This Samuel sounds like a keeper. I mean bad boys are great but you wouldn't want to have children with them. Good guys are in it for the long haul :)

  3. You have me ready to finally request the first of this series in at my library! I obviously haven't read it yet, but Sam does sound like a great character. I can't wait to "meet" him!
